Supper will be served by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary, and the American Legion Saturday, Feb. 25, at the VFW hall at 109 N. Chestnut St in Jefferson.
The three veterans groups will serve old-fashioned creamed chicken over biscuits, mashed potatoes, salads, desserts, and drinks from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Free will donations will be accepted. “Invite your friends and neighbors. Treat a veteran to supper,” a spokesperson said.
Proceeds will be divided among the three veteran groups, with most of the funds to benefit current operating expenses and future community projects. Persons who want more information can contact Don Ihnken at 515-386-4933.
